Nội dung phim
Dựa trên cuốn tiểu thuyết từng đoạt giải thưởng, phim "Under the Banner of Heaven" kể câu chuyện ly kỳ về hai anh em (Andrew Garfield và Sam Worthington) giết chết vợ và con gái của em trai họ. Những kẻ giết người đưa ra động cơ là họ đã nhận được chỉ thị từ Thiên Chúa, dựa trên quan niệm cơ bản của họ về sự maymonism. Là thành viên của nhóm ly giáo Trường Tiên Tri, anh em này tuân theo các nguyên tắc ban đầu của tôn giáo, bao gồm thuyết đa thê và niềm tin rằng các tín đồ thực sự có thể giao tiếp trực tiếp với Chúa.
