Nội dung phim
"Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors", được chuyển thể từ một câu chuyện dân gian Ukraine, là một bộ phim tình cảm đầy bi kịch xoay quanh Ivan, một chàng trai Carpathian bi thảm rơi vào lưới tình với Marichka, con gái của kẻ giết cha anh. Sau khi Marichka qua đời, nỗi đau của Ivan kéo dài nhiều tháng. Tuy nhiên, cuộc sống tươi đẹp xung quanh anh dần kéo anh trở lại. Ivan kết hôn với Palagna, nhưng tâm trí anh vẫn không thể quên được tình yêu đã mất. Cố gắng giành lại sự chú ý của chồng, Palagna tìm đến sức mạnh phù thủy, vô tình làm nhục Ivan trước dân làng. Trong cơn giận dữ, Ivan chiến đấu với phù thủy. Bộ phim đan xen giữa những giai điệu sống động của cuộc sống làng quê, những ngày lễ hội, những cuộc thi và sự vui tươi của đám cưới và đám tang với bi kịch của Ivan, tạo nên một tỷ lệ hoàn hảo.
